Creating value not just savings

In today’s market the difference between different corporation’s products and services are small and incremental.


People are always interested in savings, but this alone will not excite them into action unless the savings are very great.
  • Your product quality may be exceptional
  • The company may be the worlds best
  • The service may be unmatched 
There may be many more attributes of your product service of company that should make you stand out in the crowd. 
These are all great individually, but this approach is not as effective in today’s market as they once were. 
Because in today’s market what people are looking for is VALUE! 
More importantly the Value Perceived by them to be of importance to them.
This is the switch you are looking for, because it will remove resistance to purchase what ever it is you are marketing from the Products the services and your business opportunity and make no mistake your business opportunity a product as well. You may not see it that way. But your clients may. 
The potential clients that you approach will have preconceptions about everything; they have been sold too by the planets best, subjected to many, many years of expert advertising, bombarded every day. They are simply weary of this approach and it has made them cautious to anything new. They have resistance. 
In Network marketing your clients are your friends and acquaintances the people you know. 
If you have not read my blog on Your Business Soul, I suggest you do because it will give you insight. The way you view people is how you will treat them subconsciously. It will show you the way to create value in yourself. The way you become valuable to your friends.
Without your “business soul” aligned with your personal values you are just another sales person trying to get into their pocket. And trust me they will see it that way they have been trained to by all the advertising and previous experiences.
You may be a great friend or their mother, father, son, daughter, untie, uncle, sister. But you are a sales person with a little leverage. 
What you are looking for is the value switch that will turn your client on to what you have to offer. 
Unlike an electrical switch there is no universal switch, everyone has a different switch.
The difference between you and a sales person of the street is that you have personal knowledge of your client they are not a cold market but a warm market to you. You have the trust of friendship.
If you abuse it you will loose it!
You can ask for a Favour Help Try that may work well, because they want to help you out, do you a favour as family or a friend, they may see your friendship as to having value to them. 
In the end it will be the perceived value to them that will be the deciding factor in Favour Help Try. 
But this is still being “Me focused” not “Them Focused” and ultimately is short time and more importantly, this is not in line with your Business Soul and your long term.
So how do you find there perceived value switch. Just become a giving friend! To give them what they really Need and be aligned with your Business Soul. 
By asking your Clients /Friends questions, they will direct you to their needs, problems and desires. 
Then simply become a problem solver, a solutions provider, a go giver. Put their needs ahead of yours.
Become the person the friend who ethically fulfils their needs, helps them to achieve their desires, and to solve their problems, what ever they may be. Become a trusted friend to them, not a sales person selling.
It is important to understand that you may not be able to fulfil your entire friend’s needs from your own products and services, so be it. It is what it is!  
You may be able to advise them that the best solution for their needs can be found elsewhere. Being a trusted advisor is a long term position. Point them in that direction. Do them a favour and it will be returned 10 fold.  
Why do I know this to be so because it works! There is a fundamental human value we all hold deep in our humanness. The value called;”Reciprocation”.
