Step 2: Master the way to prequalifying your clients

“IT’S YOUR CHOICE”
“IT ‘S YOUR BUSINESS”
“NO CUSTOMERS - NO BUSINESS”
This step is extremely important as it involves two processes one physical and the other Psychological.


You start looking for Clients but not approaching them. Your clients need to be prequalifying and is this process that works for everyone.

Not prequalifying your clients is Failure Point 2 (because approaching people that are not prequalified can be sole destroying for you a waste of precious time and will remove excellent people from your list prematurely)

It starts with physically writing down a list of every person you know (your potential clients) and placing their names onto 2 categories on your list.


Psychologically the more names you have on the lists the more solidly you will create your business.
You will have a feeling of abundance and not spiral down the path fear of loss. In our lives it is said that we come in contact with around 2000 people. Why not start making a list of that size if you have difficulty use memory joggers like.
  • Who do you know?
  • Who are our relatives?
  • Who is our…….
  • Who sold us our…….
  • Do you know someone who……
Please Do Not approach anybody until you have these lists started!

One category is a list of people that you know to have the skills required and call that list skilled and the other category is unskilled.
Very important because: the list heading names are Skilled and unskilled not will and wont!
Under no circumstances pre judged anybody these lists are about Ability and skill set.
People that you know and that have a skill set required in doing your business right now. And the people that don’t have the skill set.

You may have been told that anybody can do this Network marketing “Thing” by sponsors and even the Network Marketing Companies themselves may promote this message. The simple fact is that this is both correct and incorrect. Because of current skill set levels.
  • Remember you are a Business owner there is a skill set required.
  • You are promoting, advising, Selling Products and Services, there is a skills set required.
  • You are social networking there is a skill set required.
  • You are communicating in writhing and verbal there is a skill set required.
The Fact is some people that you know now may have these skill sets that are required and others will not.

You are sorting people into Skilled and Unskilled.

Skilled ListIn your skilled List there will be people with skill sets ranging from higher to lower. You are looking to give all the people a score from 10 down to 1, the 10’s being the people with the higher skills maybe they are in a networking environment already and are successful at it or they have most of the skill sets above. To those that have some of them range them to 1.
Out of the 8,9, and 10’s there should be people you want as your front line business partners and can work with them .These will be the most important people that you will approach to come on with you in your business these people have the skills to hit the deck running and you get on with them.
All will need coaching and training but some more than others.
Unskilled List
These are people you know that do not have the skills at present but in the future may decide to get them and people that just may not have any desire to do so.
Important fact: Everyone you meet has the opportunity to learn the skills required doing and working at a Network Marketing Business, the simple fact is they may not have the desire. You can teach skills but I am afraid you cannot teach desire.
What you have just done is pre qualified your warm market lists!

Finding the right prequalified buyer of your products and services is the most important skill you can master and I mean MASTER. With out the mastery of this skill you may be doomed to failure or at least mediocre success. There are many ways to prequalify a client. Please take note I refer to people as a “buyer” not a prospect. I dislike the word “prospect” as it removes the human aspect from the equation and denote a future expectation.

The prequalifying process in network marketing starts and ends with lead generation and list building. Create categories of skill and ability not they will or they won’t. As mentioned earlier these can be your list of people that you know your warm list or you can create a warm list
.
Who do you approach?You need to approach both lists and offer your business opportunity first and then as a customer opportunity “Big target picture - Little target picture”
But you need to approach your skilled list first. You may be at first afraid to approach the 8’s,9’s,and 10’s on your list and we call it the “Chicken List Syndrome”, but the fact is this is where your golden eggs will come from at the start of your business. And this will create momentum in your business.
Here it is extremely important to make Use of the most skilled and admired person in your Up line to and enlist their help to help you with these people, it is also in their interest to help you so never ever be afraid to approach you senior Up line directly. They will appreciate that you have contacted them and will help you round up the “Chickens”.

The most successful prequalified people on your lists will be those that have the one attribute necessary for them to be successful in your business as either a contented customer, telling others positive things about you or as a positive motivated like minded business partner in the business along side you.
They must have a need for your product your service or your business opportunity (a product) otherwise you are trying to hard sell them something they do not want or need.

 Lead generation is what will make you business expand to unimagined size. Lead generation is a large subject and I will cover it in a separate blog.
